Frequently Asked Questions About Piano Moves

How far will you travel to move my piano?

We travel throughout New Jersey and also do interstate moves to the following states: New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland and Delaware.

Are you insured ?

Yes, we are insured to cover your piano in case of damage. You can request to see our certificates to verify insurance coverage.

When moving your piano we use two men unless there are more then 4 stairs at the origin or destination, in that case we will use three men.

How much experience do you have moving pianos?

We have over 15 years of experience moving pianos.

How much advance notice do I need to schedule a piano move?

We prefer two days notice.

You can simply call 800-322-2552.

What if I need furniture moved instead of a piano?

We will gladly move any household item you have, just call for a quote.

Do you tune pianos as well?

We do not tune pianos, but there is a section on this website of Professional Piano Tuners that we use.

How will you move my piano?

We blanket-wrap every piano, put them on a dolly and secure it to our truck.  All Baby Grands and Grand Pianos are blanket-wrapped, shrink-wrapped, Lyer and Legs removed and wrapped, then they get put on a piano board.

Do I have to prep my piano before your arrival?

No, we will take care of everything.

Methods of payment?

Cash, Check, Money Orders, Visa and Mastercard.

Do I need to give a deposit?

There are no deposits needed for Piano moves. However we do take a $100.00 deposit for all small household moves.

What precautions do you take to protect my floors and walls?

We use a dolly with rubber wheels that will not scratch the floors.  The walls are protected because all pianos are blanket wrapped.

Will my piano need tuning after my move?

If your piano is being moved from one room in your house to another then NO it will not need to be tuned. When your piano has to be put on a truck and moved to another location then YES your piano should be tuned, but you need to wait at least two weeks before getting tuned so your piano can acclimate to the new location's climate.
